There is nothing artificial or contrived about Julie Grant. She is a unique and honest artist who has performed with Sinead O'Connor and Dolores O'Riordan. In the mid nineties she was offered a major deal with Island Records but turned it down due to creative differences on their part. Her radio work includes sessions for both Janice Long, John Peel, Radio 4 Woman's Hour and various regional BBC stations. Her television appearances include: ITV, Channel 4, BBC and Sky. Various nominations and awards have been well deserved, such as: Acoustic Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and she was also nominated for Album of the Year.
Julie's writing credits include BBC dramas and Radio 4. She has also been a regular columnist for both television and music magazines. She is currently writing a book, Monologues for the Underdogs. Publication dates TBC.
